Book “ARTEMODA” DOLCCE&GABBANA
The new Dolce & Gabbana book ArteModa, published by Rizzoli New York, has reinterpreted some of the world’s most iconic paintings through fashion, from the dress inspired by Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh to the embroidered cape featuring Basket of Fruit by Caravaggio. I have been part of this book with one of my photographs published in S Moda in 2013.
Richly illustrated, the book explores all the artistic references that have inspired the fashion house: from the great Italian Renaissance masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Titian and Raphael, to contemporary movements including the dreamlike surrealism of Salvador Dalí, Jackson Pollock’s Action Painting, the urban art of Jean-Michel Basquiat and the graffiti world of Keith Haring.
Across these pages, Art and Fashion merge through knowledge, passion, creativity and beauty.
